1. Based on the latest information available from International SOS, WHO, US-CDC, and BC-CDC, VCEFC requests all members who have traveled outside Canada (or have been in close contact with someone that has traveled outside Canada), to self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days. Please refrain from visiting the church during this isolation period.
Anyone who is concerned that he or she may have been exposed to, or are experiencing cold and flu symptoms, should contact their health care provider or local public health office immediately.
To further support people who are wondering if they should be tested, a new self-assessment tool set up by the BC government is now available.
2. The BC Government has extended the state of emergency until April-14 and has communicated the ban for gatherings of over 50 people will likely not be lifted. As such, VCEFC will continue to suspend all ministry gatherings including Sunday Worship Services (adult and children), events, and activities through to May 3.
It is critical that all home based or small group gatherings be suspended immediately until further notice as part of our coordinated effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19. We encourage members to maintain spiritual connection using on-line meetings.
